28 November 16:00-22:00Orangeriet Boule & Bistro

Welcome!

The Life science industry in Umeå is growing and the success factor is collaboration. To create good collaborations, it is essential that we get to know each other and that we build bridges between academia, industry, and the region.

Therefore, we welcome you to the Life Science pub on November 28, at Orangeriet Boule & Bistro, Umeå, where we mingle across organizational boundaries.

The pub is open to everyone related to life science. Feel free to forward the invitation to someone you think should attend.

Time: 16.00-22.00 (The Life Science pub has secured the venue for exclusive use between 16:00 and 20:00. After that, the restaurant opens to everyone).

Play boule, pool, dart, or shuffleboard: You play for free between 16.00 and 20.00.

UBI Boule Cup:
For the second year in a row, we're hosting a boule tournament! You can sign up individually or as part of a team. To enhance networking opportunities, we encourage individual registrations. We will then create mixed teams to help you meet new people.

UBI Dart Cup: You sign up individually. There are four Dart boards and you will be four players on each court in each round.

OBS!
The boule and dart tournament spots are limited, so sign up today to secure a spot!

Note: The Boule and Dart Cup will be played simultaneously, so you can only sign up for one.

Food: Mingling and tacos (with a vegetarian alternative) are offered. You buy the drinks yourself at the bar.

OBS! Registration deadline is November 21. If you register after the deadline you will be put on a waiting list and can only attend if we get cancellations.

Note: Remember to cancel (unregister) before November 21  if you cannot attend. If you don't cancel, you will be charged a no-show fee of SEK 200.

Greetings from your friends at Umeå Biotech Incubator

Participation fee: This event is sponsored by Umeå Biotech Incubator (UBI) with support from the European Union. There is no actual fee for participating. For delegates from the industry, state-aid/de-minimis will be accounted for corresponding to 1 000 SEK per person.

State aid & de-minimis: Umeå Biotech Incubator is obliged to account for activities they arrange, and support they provide, that are directed to specific companies or a group of companies where the receiving companies do not pay market price for the participation. The value of this support is accounted for as state-aid.Small amounts of State aid (‘de minimis’ aid) are exempted from State aid control, as they are deemed to have no impact on competition and trade in the internal market of the European Union (EU). De minimis aid indeed refers to small amounts of State aid to undertakings (companies) that do not have to be notified to the European Commission by the EU Member States.

The maximum amount is € 300,000 for each undertaking over 3 years. De minimis can also be granted to large companies that are not entitled to larger sums of state-aid under Article 22. Read more on state-aid and de-minimis here:
